1986 Ford Capri 2.0L Laser
Just in and under preparation
We are really pleased to offer this outstanding 1986 Ford Capri 2.0 Laser
Finished in the best factory colour of Lacquer Red and covered a mere 80k miles.
Introduced in November 1984, Ford’s special edition Capri Laser featured a six-gauge dashboard, tinted glass, tailgate-mounted spoiler, leather-trimmed gear lever, steering wheel, body coloured grille and door mirrors, RS alloys, unique graphics, Black-painted bumpers and Truro Grey cloth upholstery.
Available with a choice of 1.6-litre or 2-litre SOHC four-cylinder engines allied to either a five-speed manual or an automatic transmission, the larger capacity variant was reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 9.6 seconds and 113mph.
The very last Capri Laser rolled off the production line at Ford’s Cologne, West Germany plant during November 1986.
This very collectable Laser iteration of the Capri has the more desirable 2.0 litre 4-cylinder engine allied to a 5-speed manual gearbox
Owned since 05.2018 by an avid Ford enthusiast and mechanic who has now purchased an immaculate MK3 Escort 1.6 Ghia from ourselves to continue the Ford trend.
Maintained to the highest order both mechanically and aesthetically. Taken to many shows during the summer and kept undercover through the winter months.
Subject to a full glass out repaint around 2021 and photographed accordingly.
Full list of works carried out since 2018 within the file.
This includes servicing items, cylinder head valve seats recut, new valve seals, replace viscous fan hub, replace water pump, fan belt, timing belt, renew antifreeze, starter motor, tyres, exhaust etc etc.
This is a first class standard Capri Laser and would really take some beating.
Mot to June 26 with an exemplary MOT history
Export enquiries welcome.
