We are very pleased to be able offer this legendary Jaguar MKV  finished in the two-tone colorway of Seafrost over Black with impressive “double-decker” chromed bumpers

Our example is the optimal 3.5-litre saloon and from the penultimate year of production.

Most remarkably despite its 75-year age it has just 2 former keepers.

This MKV is a home market specified and supplied right hand drive model hailing from 1950.

Just under 6,000 in this specification were originally made with the Jaguar Drivers’ Club knowing of just 81 remaining as far back as 1988. That number will have likely significantly decreased by now so a fairly rare specimen.

Owned from 1950 through to to the early 90’s where it sold to its second owner and latterly restored in the mid 1990’s.

The restoration was very clearly a thorough restoration with the wood work, carpet and leather all being done.

ClassicCars magazine featured this car in its December 2003 issue, copy within the file.

Within the feature this MKV is compared against the Alvis TC21 & Bentley MkVI which makes for an interesting read given the cost new of all three…..the Bentley being more than double the MKV

A very rare, striking two-tone example of the MKV Jaguar in a rarely seen colour combination which upon passing looks like the old girl is floating along effortlessly.
Just three owners to date and the subject of a diligent restoration in the mid 1990’s.

Presented with that lovely patina of a time served restoration and running and driving rather nicely waiting eagerly for its next custodian to take to the next level or local car show where there’s a high level of certainly you would be the only one with one of these rather stately MkV’s.

Don’t get me wrong the old girl needs some tinkering and love in some areas, mainly due to lack of use but most certainly a rewarding specimen.

Included within the history file are a MkV service manual and Autocar road test report from 1949 for the 3.5-litre
