‘Bertie’ is a 1962 MK1 Triumph Herald 1200 Saloon finished in Lichfield Green with Red Vynide trim.

Original, unrestored and immaculate, including full underbody ‘Waxoyl’, carried out when new, yet still present and likely one reason for exceptional condition.

It is in remarkable condition for the 61 years since rolling out of Canley in 1962, paint, interior, mechanicals all appear to be in lovely original condition with a classic patina to them, retaining that clean, distinctive interior aroma associated with cars of that era.

The car has the most extensive history you’re ever likely to find with any classic – several enormous binders with original order form, bill of sale, every mot since new, original supplying dealer service receipts, correspondence from the original dealer, original stamped up service book, owners manual, two sets of original keys on original 1962 dealer keyring, engine, chassis, key numbers all match the original bill of sale together with other relevant motoring memorabilia – all to support this low and genuine mileage.

It is standard in all respects other than an upgraded dynamo with an alternator.

There are also two additional instruments fitted by previous owners, which are an asset.
